Tapola Mini Kashmir of Maharashtra near Mahabaleshwar

      Tapola also known as Mini Kashmir is a small town that is located in the state of Maharashtra.
It is interesting site for day trips and picnic.The place is located in the confluence of the rivers Solashi and Koyana.
The Shivsagar Lake is a tourist attraction for boating

Motor boat,Cycle boat and speed boats are available for hire.Kayaking is also possible in the lake and this is very populer among tourists.You can have Panchgani,Mahabaleshwar,Tapola trip on the same day with more fun.

Tapola is perfect place for nature related actvities for tourists.
From pune it is 130 KM and you can also visit Panchgani and Mahabaleshwar on the same way..

Strawberry Farms in Panchgani-Mahabaleshwar area

            The Mini Kashmir is also famous for strawberry farms.Due to the red and muddy soil in this area strawberry, raspberry, mulberry are grown in abundance.
On these farms, the strawberry plants are really small and grow to a height of 25-30cms only.The fruits grow close to the ground and are born in clusters under the leaves.
            This areas strawberries are well known for their taste and are sent out in packages to different places.
There are two really interesting things -sprinklers are used to give water to the plants and the soil is covered with thick black plastic sheets.
        Sprinklers are used for recreation, as a cooling system, or for the control of airborne dust and plastic sheets are used to prevent evaporation, keep the soil moist, help the soil suck in water from the ground and prevent the strawberries from coming in contact with the soil and getting dirty.

strawberry plants are so delegate so we need to take care of them by cleaning side area. The farm should have facility of Irrigation to provide water to the plants. So visit this place ones in a life time and see how we get delicious strawberry...

This is my first post,I have chosen this topic "Relation of  Panchgani with Strawberry" after so much of thinking.I was wondering for how to start posting in this blog? from last one year :P , as I have started this blog in last winter season.
            Some of you might have visited Panchgani,those who have visited are known to one of  the tourist attraction  is Mapro Garden -A haven for tourists hungry for strawberry delicious as well as factory fresh items like jams, syrups squashes and confectionery items by Mapro Foods Pvt Ltd..

The reason behind choosing this topic is to give some little bit information about strawberry fruit and where you will get good products of strawberries.The fruit (which is not a botanical berry, but an aggregate accessory fruit) is widely appreciated for its characteristic aroma, bright red color, juicy texture, and sweetness. It is consumed in large quantities, either fresh or in prepared foods such as preserves, fruit juice, pies, ice creams, milkshakes, and chocolates.
Panchgani attracts many tourists throughout the year as some good places like Mahabaleshwar and wai are nearer to this place.In panchgani you will get good quality of strawberry products.
